Fathers Day Card.... Continued

Ok its me again.  I posted pictures yesterday of my dad's fathers day card.  Well I decided that since the card was so unique that I need unique packaging for the card.  Rather than use a standard envelope I decided that since the card is a shirt, it needed a shirt box for its packaging rather than a regular envelope.  So here is the box I created and now I am trying to decide whether to just tie ribbon around it or make a paper bow to go with it... what do you think?  So here are the pics of the shirt box!! Hope you like it!!!

The lid of the box has fishing lures, fishing rods, all types of things to do with fishing.  I thought it was appropriate for Father's Day, don't you?  Let me know what you think!!!

Fathers Day Card....

Happy Tuesday.  As you know Fathers Day is this Sunday.  I have been trying to think of a card to make for my dad for Sunday and could not figure out anything.  Then I found a video tutorial for a folded paper shirt.  I saw it and immediately started looking for paper to make one for dad for FD.  I hope you like it!!  Here it is:

Card Creation...

I am a member of SplitCoast Stampers (SCS) and there are so many talented ladies there.  One of my friends on the site was Queen for the Day (QFTD63).  The challenge for this is to create a card by CASEing one of the "Queens" cards and then post it to the gallery.  I will show her card and then my version of it. Granted I am working with limited supplies since I am in one place and my papercrafting supplies are in another.  So I did what I could with what I had lol.  Hope you like it.  And if you get the chance go on over to SCS and check it out.  Here is a link to Splitcoast Stampers.  Now on to my creation and my inspiration for my creation.

Apologies.....

For being absent.  I was working on a blog post on Thursday of last week and a box popped up on my screen.  It said something about Adobe Flash.exe had stopped working and that I needed to re-boot my computer. Well I re-booted my computer and guess what happened?  Yep... it was a virus.  My computer went haywire.  It kept telling me that my hard drive was corrupt and that there were bad sectors here and there and everywhere.  I freaked out.  See my computer is sitting on the dining room table, since I have to be in the room with my mom.  I am her caregiver so I stay close so that I can keep an eye on her.  Well needless to say that whoever comes in the door seems to want to perch at my computer and "borrow" it.  That said, I have no idea how the virus got onto my computer but have spent the weekend trying to get it sorted out.  I have a warranty on my computer so I assumed I would have to send it off to have it fixed, well thank God I did not have to do that.  I called and they walked me through wiping everything out and setting it back to factory defaults.  With that being said, I can say I lost everything I had saved on my computer, all my pictures, all my digital scrapbook pages, all my pictures of cards I have made, everything.  I did back everything up a few months ago so thankfully I do have part of it but I can never get back everything I lost.  So to end this blog post I am going to say this, watch the websites you visit, be careful about what is being downloaded to your computer, and above all else Back up your computer on a regular basis.
